The M.A. FORD 16907810R.005 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It carries a 0.0781 inch (5/64 inch) cutting diameter, a 0.005 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a medium helix angle. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for a wide range of workpiece materials. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.625 inch length of cut, this is a short-series tool built for rigidity and accurate radial control in tight-tolerance work. It is single-end, centercutting, and mounts in a standard straight cylindrical toolholder. Machinists and CNC operators use this end mill for both roughing and finishing passes where sharp corners must be relieved to reduce stress concentration and improve surface finish.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where a corner radius profile is required on the workpiece. The Series 169 design targets steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and toolholders sized for that bore. Its short flute length and compact reach support stable cutting in shallow-to-moderate pocket depths and slotting operations where vibration must be minimized.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify collet bore and toolholder bore match the 1/8 inch shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable limits before cutting. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material being machined.
