The M.A. FORD 15737500A is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in ferrous and high-temperature alloy machining applications. This single-end, center-cutting tool features a 0.375 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The 6-flute geometry paired with a 45-degree helical flute angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An ALtima coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability during high-speed operations. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.375 inches in diameter. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in production and job-shop environments.
Suited for milling operations on workpiece materials including stainless steels, heat-resistant superalloys, carbon steels, and hardened steels, this end mill fits Series 157 tooling applications. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard for most vertical and horizontal machining center setups. Its micrograin carbide construction supports higher cutting speeds and feeds compared to standard-grade carbide tooling. This tool is appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in M.A. FORD Series 157, suited for use in standard end mill holders and collet chucks accepting a 0.375 inch straight shank.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and all motion axes locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated in the collet or holder to the recommended grip length before torquing the retention hardware. Do not exceed tool manufacturer-rated speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and replace the tool if damage is observed.
