The M.A. FORD 13875007R.120 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 2-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.12 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in both roughing and finishing operations. With 3 right-hand spiral flutes and a bright uncoated finish, this single-end mill suits machinists and toolroom technicians running aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials on CNC machining centers or manual knee mills.
This end mill is built for production and toolroom environments where a combination of roughing and finishing in a single tool pass is required. The Series 138 designation places it in M.A. FORD's standard-reach, straight-shank line. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. Its 5 inch overall length and 3/4 inch straight cylindrical shank mount directly into standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders rated for that shank diameter.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight cylindrical shank, including collet chucks, end mill holders, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic chucks. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured to the specified pullout torque for the toolholder type before beginning any cut. Confirm runout at the cutting edge with a dial indicator before production use, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear on carbide tools. Do not use this tool on ferrous materials, as the uncoated carbide and flute geometry are optimized for non-ferrous applications.
