The M.A. FORD. 13875005W is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. Built to Series 138 long-length standards, it features a 0.75 inch diameter with a 2 inch length of cut and a 5 inch overall length. The 3-flute geometry combined with a 36-degree spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The micrograin carbide construction delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding production environments. Licensed machinists and tooling professionals install this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and consistent surface finish are required.
This end mill is suited for milling, slotting, and profiling operations in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper. The long length of cut at 2 inches accommodates deeper cavity work and side milling passes where standard-length tools fall short. The Weldon flat shank provides a positive mechanical drive and reduces pullout risk under aggressive feed rates. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous materials where coating buildup or chemical interaction is a concern.
Designed as a Series 138 long solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 0.75 inch ER, CAT, BT, or Weldon-style toolholders on CNC and manual milling machines. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (material code N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the holder and torque the set screw against the flat per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cutting pass to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
