The M.A. FORD 13875005F is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 0.75 inch cutting diameter, 2 inch length of cut, and 5 inch overall length, this tool delivers precise, stable cuts in demanding shop environments. The 3-flute geometry paired with a 36-degree helical flute angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A titanium diboride coating improves surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge. This end mill is built from micrograin carbide stock, giving it strong wear resistance and edge retention. It is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with a straight cylindrical shank and is centercutting capable.
This end mill is suited for milling, slotting, profiling, and contouring operations on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The 36-degree helix and 3-flute design make it a practical choice for high-speed finishing and light roughing passes. The 0.75 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines. It is used by machinists and tooling technicians in production shops, job shops, and maintenance environments where precision and tool life matter.
Designed for use with non-ferrous metal workpieces (primary workpiece material code N) and fits standard 0.75 inch collet chucks and end mill holders. Part of the M.A. FORD Series 138 end mill line.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Before mounting, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris. Secure the shank firmly in a collet or end mill holder to the full engagement depth to prevent runout or pullout during cutting. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before initiating a cut.
