The M.A. FORD 13875001R.060 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. Built to Series 138 specifications, it features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a medium helix angle. The bright, uncoated finish suits materials such as aluminum, copper, and brass where coating adhesion or chemical reactivity would be a concern. With centercutting capability, this tool can plunge directly into a workpiece as well as perform peripheral and slot milling operations. Machinists and toolroom professionals use this end mill for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where a stub-length tool is preferred for rigidity. The 1 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length keep deflection low during aggressive passes in non-ferrous materials. The straight cylindrical shank at 3/4 inch diameter seats directly in standard ER collet chucks, milling chucks, or hydraulic toolholders. It is a single-end tool intended for mounting in compatible toolholders per the manufacturer specification.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders including ER collet chucks and milling chucks accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Compatible with toolholders as specified by M.A. FORD for Series 138 end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank to the full recommended insertion depth in the toolholder and torque the collet nut or retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to a production cut.
