The M.A. FORD. 13862505F is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with titanium diboride, it delivers sharp, consistent cutting edges suited for demanding production and job-shop environments. The 3-flute geometry provides a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. With a 0.625-inch cutting diameter, a 2-inch length of cut, and a 36-degree helical flute angle, this tool is engineered for efficient material removal in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. Installation and use are performed by machinists and CNC operators working with vertical machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a straight cylindrical 0.625-inch shank. The 5-inch overall length allows reach into deeper pockets while the 2-inch length of cut handles common slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (material code N), making it the correct choice for aluminum alloys, brass, copper, and similar materials where titanium diboride coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment with ER or end mill holders accepting a straight cylindrical 0.625-inch shank. Intended for milling non-ferrous metals per the Series 138 product specification.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Secure the straight cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout before beginning a cut. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate based on the workpiece material and depth of cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and replace the tool if damage is detected.
