The M.A. FORD. 13837500R.030 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. The tool features a 3/8-inch cutting diameter with a 0.030-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the workpiece edge and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner geometry. Three right-hand spiral flutes deliver efficient chip evacuation during both roughing and finishing passes. With a stub-length configuration and 1/2-inch length of cut, this single-end mill is built for rigidity in close-tolerance operations. Licensed machinists and CNC tool-and-die technicians are the primary users of this tool in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling, slotting, profiling, and contouring operations on non-ferrous materials including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar workpiece materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous applications where coating buildup on the tool edge would be counterproductive. The 3/8-inch straight cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard ER collets and end mill holders. At 2 inches overall length, it fits comfortably in low-clearance fixturing setups.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders and ER collet systems accepting a 3/8-inch straight cylindrical shank. Intended for CNC machining centers and manual mills running non-ferrous metal workpieces. Part of M.A. FORD. Series 138.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool change mode is engaged before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the recommended gauge depth before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm concentricity before initiating a cut.
