The M.A. FORD. 13825010 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals and similar materials. With a 0.25-inch cutting diameter, a 2-inch length of cut, and a 4-inch overall length, this tool fits standard 0.25-inch straight-cylindrical shank collets. It features 3 helical flutes with a 36-degree helix angle, right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry, and is centercutting, allowing plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. The uncoated solid carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention suited for high-RPM finishing and semi-finishing passes on aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous workpiece materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is best applied in non-ferrous metal machining operations including aluminum profiling, slotting, and contouring. The single-end, helical-flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and recutting. The 36-degree helix angle improves surface finish on softer materials by producing a shearing cut rather than a scraping action. It is suited for both production and job-shop environments where consistent dimensional accuracy and tool life on non-ferrous materials are priorities. No chipbreaker or variable helix features are present, making this a straightforward, general-purpose geometry within the M.A. FORD. Series 138 line.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the collet. Verify collet size matches the 0.25-inch shank diameter and that the tool is seated to the recommended insertion depth before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use and do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
