The M.A. FORD 13825007R.030F is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal and finishing in non-ferrous metal applications. Carrying a 0.03 inch corner radius on a 1/4 inch diameter cutter, this tool blends edge strength with dimensional precision. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a medium helix delivers efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a fine surface finish. Fordlube PVD coating reduces friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. This tool is used by machinists and CNC operators across job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing environments.
The 13825007R.030F is built for cutting non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The extra-long 1-1/4 inch length of cut supports deeper pocketing and profiling operations without requiring a reach extension. The 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard collet-style toolholders. Series 138 designates this as part of M.A. FORD's dedicated non-ferrous end mill family, where the Fordlube coating is optimized to resist built-up edge on soft, gummy materials. Both roughing and finishing passes are within scope for this cutter geometry.
Designed for use with standard collet-style and straight-shank toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal. Not recommended for ferrous or hardened steel applications.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet nut is torqued according to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use, particularly after any interrupted cut in abrasive material.
