The M.A. FORD 13825000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling operations in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 2 inch overall length with a straight cylindrical 1/4 inch shank. The three-flute geometry and 36-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright finish and spiral flute design make this a centercutting tool capable of plunge entry. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow standard milling conventions. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling environments.
The 13825000 is suited for light-to-medium material removal in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper. The three-flute configuration balances chip load and surface finish in these lower-resistance materials. Standard length geometry fits most common toolholding setups without extended reach requirements. This is a single-end, non-chipbreaker tool appropriate for profiling, slotting, and contouring passes where tight diameter tolerance is required. The mill diameter tolerance of +0.0000 to -0.0005 inch supports close-tolerance work in production and maintenance machining.
Designed as a standard-length square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal per Series 138 application coding.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with toolholder torque and runout requirements. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank to the recommended minimum insertion depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for damage before each use.
