The M.A. FORD 13818750N is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations on non-ferrous materials. With a 0.1875 inch cutting diameter, 0.25 inch length of cut, and a 3-flute spiral geometry at a 36-degree helix angle, this stub-length tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and clean square-shoulder profiles. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and edge retention suited to aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. It is sold individually and is a single-end, center-cutting design with a right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction.
This end mill fits standard milling operations in machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where stub-length reach is appropriate. The 0.1875 inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance provides a secure collet or end mill holder grip. The 0.5 inch reach length and 2 inch overall length make it suitable for shallow-to-moderate pocketing, slotting, and profiling passes on non-ferrous components. The bright uncoated finish is common in non-ferrous applications where coating adhesion or thermal sensitivity is a concern. Machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments are the typical users of this tool.
Designed for use with standard 3/16 inch collets or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Optimized for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials per M.A. FORD Series 138N specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup personnel. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify collet or holder bore matches the 0.1875 inch shank diameter and that the tool is seated to the full depth of the holder bore before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tools are brittle and can fracture if mishandled.
