The M.A. FORD. 13812507 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter and a 1 inch length of cut, it handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations where tight tolerances are required. The 3-flute geometry and 36-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finish. This is an uncoated, centercutting tool, meaning it can be plunged directly into the workpiece. It carries a straight cylindrical shank with a shank diameter tolerance of h6, ensuring a secure, repeatable fit in standard collet chucks and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
This end mill is suited for milling non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups. With a 2 inch overall length and compact 1/8 inch diameter, it is well-suited for fine-detail work, narrow slot cutting, and contour milling in tight geometries. It is sold individually and is part of M.A. FORD. Series 138, a line of solid carbide end mills engineered for consistent dimensional accuracy across production runs.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide end mill for use in standard 1/8 inch collet chucks, ER collets, and compatible tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines operating on non-ferrous materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention mechanism according to the machine manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cutting operations to confirm proper seating and alignment.
