The M.A. FORD 13812505F is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) cutting diameter and a 0.625-inch length of cut, it delivers clean, accurate profiles in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The three-flute helical design runs at a 36-degree helix angle, balancing chip evacuation with surface finish quality. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance at small diameters. A titanium diboride (TiB2) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in non-ferrous cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this end mill in vertical machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and smooth finishes are required.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in non-ferrous metals. The 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard 1/8-inch collets and end mill holders. With a 1.5-inch overall length and no extended reach, it is optimized for short-reach, high-precision work. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration matches conventional spindle rotation. It is a single-end tool sold individually.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch collet systems and end mill holders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills. Primary workpiece material classification is non-ferrous metal (material code N), including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. Part of M.A. FORD Series 138.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank to the recommended gauge line depth in the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating the cut, as runout at small diameters significantly affects tool life and surface finish.
