The M.A. FORD. 13625004 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 0.25-inch mill diameter, a 0.5-inch length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle, this tool delivers aggressive chip evacuation and clean edge geometry in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides wear resistance and edge retention under high-speed cutting conditions. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool, making it capable of both peripheral and plunge operations. Machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, manufacturing facilities, and production environments are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for light to medium material removal in non-ferrous metals, where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are priorities. The right-hand cut and right-hand helical flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining centers and manual mills with right-hand spindle rotation. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous applications where coating adhesion or heat buildup is not a concern.
Designed for use in non-ferrous metal applications (material code N) with a 0.25-inch straight-cylindrical shank compatible with standard ER collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders. Part of the M.A. FORD. Series 136 end mill line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the minimum clamping depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for damage before each use and replace the tool if chipping or excessive wear is observed.
