The M.A. FORD. 13537502N is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise material removal in non-ferrous metal machining applications. It features a 3/8-inch diameter with a 0.015-inch corner radius, producing a controlled edge break or fillet on machined profiles. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 30-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. At 4 inches overall length with a 1/2-inch length of cut, this single-end, centercutting tool handles both roughing and finishing passes. Micrograin carbide construction and a bright, uncoated finish make it well suited to aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills operating on non-ferrous metals. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral cutting. The coarse pitch and medium helix style support efficient chip flow in softer, gummy materials where chip packing is a common concern. With a straight-cylindrical shank at 3/8 inch diameter and a reach length of 2.375 inches, it seats securely in standard collet-style or ER-style toolholders. The Series 135N designation places it within M.A. FORD.'s extended-reach line for added clearance in deep-pocket or stepped-feature applications.
Designed for use with standard collet-style and straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/8-inch cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. Not recommended for ferrous or hardened material applications.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician using an appropriate collet or end mill holder rated for the 3/8-inch shank diameter. Confirm runout at the toolholder before cutting to stay within the stated diameter tolerance of +0.0000 to -0.0030 inches. Secure the shank to the minimum recommended engagement depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing or adjusting any cutting tool.
