The M.A. FORD. 13537501N is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. Built to Series 135N specifications, it features a 3/8-inch diameter, a 0.015-inch (1/64-inch) corner radius, and two right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The bright, uncoated micrograin carbide construction provides a hard, wear-resistant cutting edge suited for both roughing and finishing operations. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and multi-directional cutting passes. Licensed machinists and CNC tool setup technicians are the primary installers and operators of this tooling.
This end mill is rated for use in non-ferrous metal applications, including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. With a 1/2-inch length of cut, 3-inch overall length, and a 1-3/8-inch reach length, it is well suited for cavity milling, profiling, and contouring in production and job-shop environments. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard collet chucks and end mill toolholders. Its coarse pitch and extended reach geometry make it appropriate for applications requiring access to deeper features without sacrificing rigidity.
Designed for use with standard collet-style toolholders and end mill holders accepting a 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for milling non-ferrous metals as indicated by primary workpiece material code N.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Before changing tooling, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is placed in a safe, locked-out state per shop safety procedures. Insert the shank fully into the toolholder collet and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and should not be struck against hard surfaces during handling.
