The M.A. FORD 13518750NA is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with an ALtima coating, it delivers consistent edge integrity and extended tool life in demanding cutting applications. The two-flute geometry with a 30-degree spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation, making it well-suited for aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. At 0.1875 inches in diameter with a 0.25-inch length of cut and a 2-inch overall length, this is a long-reach configuration intended for slotting, profiling, and light pocketing where extended reach into a workpiece is required. It is a center-cutting design, allowing plunge entry.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers and manual mills using 3/16-inch collets or tool holders with a straight cylindrical shank. The long neck length of 0.5625 inches and a reach length of 0.56 inches make it appropriate for operations where clearance depth is a constraint. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (Material Code N), consistent with M.A. FORD Series 135N tooling. Machinists and CNC operators in production shops, tool rooms, and job shops working with aluminum and non-ferrous alloys will find this tool fits common finishing and semi-finishing operations at small diameters.
Designed for use with standard 3/16-inch collets and straight-bore tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials per M.A. FORD Series 135N application guidelines. No specific machine model compatibility was provided in the product data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling setup procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Verify collet and holder are clean and free of debris to maintain runout within tolerance, as micrograin carbide tools are sensitive to excessive runout. Do not exceed manufacturer-recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
