The M.A. FORD. 13475000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineering-grade materials. With a 3/4-inch cutting diameter and a 1-1/2-inch length of cut (LOC), this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling where dimensional accuracy and surface finish matter. The 45-degree high-helix angle improves chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Three flutes provide a balance between chip clearance and rigidity, making this geometry well-suited for moderate to aggressive material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and heat resistance required for high-speed machining applications.
This end mill is configured as a single-end, centercutting tool, allowing it to plunge directly into a workpiece as well as cut laterally. The right-hand cut and right-hand helical flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC machining center spindles. With a 3/4-inch shank diameter and a 4-inch overall length (OAL), it mounts directly into standard ER collets, end mill holders, or shrink-fit toolholders. It is uncoated, which suits applications where coating compatibility with cutting fluid or workpiece material is a consideration or where re-sharpening is planned.
Designed as a standard-shank solid carbide square end mill compatible with 3/4-inch bore end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and shrink-fit tooling systems used on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before loading or changing tooling. Confirm holder bore size and projection length match application requirements before tightening. Follow machine tool builder torque guidelines for the specific toolholder type in use.
