The M.A. FORD 12243310C is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a broad range of workpiece materials. It features a 0.4331-inch (11 mm) cutting diameter, a 1.5748-inch (40 mm) length of cut, and a 0.4331-inch straight-cylindrical shank, placing it in the long-length category. The four-flute, right-hand spiral flute geometry runs at a 30-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN coating reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding applications. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece.
The 12243310C is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous materials including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its long-reach geometry makes it appropriate for deeper pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations where a standard-length tool would not reach.
