The M.A. FORD. 12175000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.750 inch mill diameter, a 1.5 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length, this 2-flute tool delivers sharp, clean cuts in a range of workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention under demanding cutting conditions. The uncoated, centercutting design allows for direct plunging as well as conventional peripheral milling. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, cast irons, stainless steels, high-temperature alloys, and non-metallic materials, corresponding to workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The straight cylindrical shank with a 0.750 inch diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders used in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills. Its regular length profile makes it appropriate for general-purpose slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling where extended reach is not required. Series 121 positioning places it in M.A. FORD.s standard square end mill lineup.
Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, titanium and high-temperature alloys, steel, and superalloys. Fits any standard toolholder accepting a 0.750 inch straight cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool changer or collet must be de-energized before inserting or removing the end mill. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the shank to ensure concentricity within acceptable tolerance. Always follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut when setting up this tool for a new operation.
