The M.A. FORD. 12137502 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/8-inch diameter, a 0.02-inch corner radius, and a 1-inch length of cut, with a 2.5-inch overall length and a 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank. The 30-degree helix angle and two-flute geometry support efficient chip evacuation, while the micrograin carbide substrate delivers the edge retention needed for high-wear applications. This tool is intended for use in a standard toolholder and arrives uncoated with a bright finish.
This end mill is suited for single-end, centercutting operations on a broad range of workpiece materials. Its coarse pitch and right-hand cutting direction make it appropriate for roughing passes in production and job-shop environments. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is part of the M.A. FORD. This tool is installed and serviced by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the toolholder collet or chuck per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tools can fail suddenly when run beyond their service life.
