The M.A. FORD. 12131504 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features an 8 mm cutting diameter, a 1.50 mm corner radius, and a 2-flute right-hand spiral geometry that supports both roughing and finishing passes. The 20 mm length of cut and 64 mm overall length make it well suited for pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations where corner geometry control is critical. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and edge retention needed when working with difficult materials. The bright uncoated finish is compatible with a wide range of cutting fluids and dry machining setups.
This end mill is built for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry and full 3-axis toolpath use. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders and collet chucks used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. It is a coarse-pitch, medium-helix design suited to shops running production work across a broad range of workpiece materials without switching tooling.
Rated for use with standard toolholders accepting an 8 mm straight cylindrical shank. Designed for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the toolholder manufacturer's specified engagement length before running. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, particularly after cutting superalloys or hardened materials. Follow the machine tool builder's guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting speeds and feeds.
