The M.A. FORD. 12109370 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. With a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter and a 9/32 inch (0.2813 inch) length of cut, this end mill delivers controlled material removal in tight spaces and small-feature applications. It runs a 2-flute, spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle and right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction. The micrograin carbide construction supports rigidity and edge retention at small diameters. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry. This tool is sold individually and suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC mills and manual knee mills.
This end mill is built for regular-length, small-diameter work across a broad material range. The Series 121 designation places it in M.A. FORD.'s standard square end mill lineup. It is well suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge-entry operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, high-temp alloys, and composite materials as indicated by workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER collets and end mill holders common to production and prototype machining environments. The uncoated finish makes it appropriate for applications where coating would add unnecessary cost or interfere with dimensional tolerances.
Designed for use with standard 1/8 inch ER collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Suitable for workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by M.A. FORD. Series 121 material coding.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully and evenly in the collet or holder before tightening to manufacturer torque specifications for the holder type in use. At this diameter, runout control is critical — inspect the holder and collet for wear before each use. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the listed length of cut to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
