The M.A. FORD. 12106250 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding applications. Featuring a 1/16 inch cutting diameter and 2 flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, this tool delivers clean, accurate cuts in a compact form factor. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention required for cutting ferrous alloys, non-ferrous metals, cast iron, and composite workpiece materials. With a 30-degree helix angle and centercutting capability, this end mill handles both plunge and peripheral milling operations. It is suited for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and precision toolroom applications where small-diameter work demands tight tolerances.
This end mill is designed for use across a broad range of workpiece materials, including high-temperature alloys, stainless steels, cast irons, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The regular-length geometry and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet systems and tool holders sized for 1/8 inch shank diameters. It is well suited to slotting, profiling, and light plunge cuts in die and mold work, prototype machining, and production runs involving small, intricate features.
Compatible with standard 1/8 inch straight cylindrical collets and tool holders. Suitable for workpiece material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S as designated in the M.A. FORD. Series 121 product line.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated. Secure the 1/8 inch straight shank in a properly sized, clean collet or end mill holder, and verify runout before commencing a cut. Avoid excessive overhang beyond the specified length of cut to prevent deflection or tool breakage, particularly at this small diameter. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate feed rates and speeds for the specific workpiece material.
