The M.A. FORD. 11137503 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding industrial and toolroom applications. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The single-end, centercutting geometry allows both plunge and peripheral cuts. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 1 inch length of cut, this tool balances reach with rigidity. The bright, uncoated finish on micrograin carbide substrate suits a broad range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this type of tooling on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The Series 111 designation covers regular-length, straight-shank end mills built for general-purpose roughing and finishing passes. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in both continuous and interrupted cuts. It mounts directly into a compatible toolholder with a 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Designed for use with standard 3/8 inch bore toolholders including collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as indicated by material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a locked-out, tagged-out state before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Seat the shank fully into the holder bore and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before the first cut to confirm proper seating and minimize premature edge wear.
