The M.A. FORD 11137501A is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling across a wide range of materials. It features a 3/8 inch diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a normal pitch and medium helix for stable cutting action. The AlTiN (ALtima) PVD coating delivers heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding applications. This is a centercutting, single-end tool built for both roughing and finishing passes. It is manufactured from micrograin carbide and suited for machine shops, tool rooms, and production environments where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are critical.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with compatible straight-shank toolholders. It handles steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 1 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length make it a practical choice for standard-depth slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, improving tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills in interrupted or heavy-feed cuts.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical shank toolholders. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills capable of accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, H).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and tighten to the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping method. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cutting operation to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
