The M.A. FORD. 11137500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of metalworking applications. With a 3/8-inch mill diameter and a 1-inch length of cut, this four-flute tool delivers efficient material removal in both roughing and finishing passes. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3/8 inch in diameter, and the overall tool length is 2.5 inches. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it holds tight tolerances and resists wear under demanding cutting conditions. This is an uncoated, centercutting tool with a right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute at a 30-degree helix angle, suited for machinists and tooling professionals running CNC or manual milling equipment.
This end mill is configured for regular-length applications and belongs to M.A. FORD. Series 111. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry into the workpiece, expanding its usefulness in slotting, profiling, and pocket milling operations. Primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S indicate suitability across cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, and superalloys. It is appropriate for job shops, production machining environments, and tool rooms where consistent dimensional accuracy is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling addition for standard 3/8-inch collet or milling chuck setups in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills using straight-cylindrical shank toolholders.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician using a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical shanks. Confirm the spindle is fully powered down and locked before changing tooling. Ensure the shank is clean and fully seated in the holder before tightening to prevent runout. Always verify tool projection and length of cut clearance against the workpiece fixture before initiating a cut.
