The M.A. FORD 11125004 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 1/4-inch diameter, a 0.045-inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 3/4-inch length of cut, this is a single-end, centercutting tool suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. The micrograin carbide substrate supports performance in hard and abrasive workpiece materials.
This end mill is well suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The uncoated bright finish makes it a reliable baseline choice where coating compatibility with cutting fluids or workpiece materials is a consideration. It fits standard straight-cylindrical toolholders with a 1/4-inch shank. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments will find it appropriate for slot milling, profiling, and contouring where a radius corner is required.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 1/4-inch shank. Rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per M.A. FORD Series 111 specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Set runout within acceptable tolerance for the application before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tooling. Do not exceed the rated length of cut of 3/4 inch to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
