The M.A. FORD 11121870A is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling across a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 0.2187 inch (7/32 inch) mill diameter, a 0.625 inch length of cut, and a 2.5 inch overall length with a 0.25 inch straight-cylindrical shank. The four-flute, right-hand spiral design runs at a 30-degree helix angle, and the ALtima coating extends tool life in demanding cutting conditions. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry. It is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring tight-tolerance work.
This end mill is suited for a broad range of materials including high-temperature alloys, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, steel, and titanium alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its standard length classification and micrograin carbide grade make it a practical choice for production milling, slotting, and profiling operations where dimensional consistency and edge retention are priorities. The Series 111 designation identifies it within the M.A. FORD product family for straight-shank solid carbide end mills.
Rated for workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering high-temperature alloys, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, steel, and titanium alloys. Fits any machine spindle or collet accepting a 0.25 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or tool holder. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.25 inch shank diameter to prevent runout. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material being cut.
