The M.A. FORD. 11106300 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/16 inch (0.0630 inch decimal) mill diameter, a 0.189 inch length of cut, and a 1.5 inch overall length, this is a small-diameter tool built for fine detail work in tight-tolerance cuts. The four-flute, right-hand spiral configuration provides efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the typical end users for this class of tooling.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on a broad set of workpiece materials including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, non-metallic materials, and heat-resistant superalloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The regular length designation and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holder setups on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Series 111 from M.A. FORD. represents a general-purpose uncoated carbide end mill line suited for both roughing and finishing passes at small diameters.
Designed for use in standard straight-cylindrical collet systems and end mill holders with a 3.00 mm shank diameter. Suitable for workpiece materials classified under codes H, K, M, N, P, and S per the supplier specification.
Installation and use of small-diameter carbide end mills should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with speeds, feeds, and runout tolerances appropriate to 1/16 inch tooling. Secure the shank fully in the collet or holder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before running. Inspect the tool for chips or cracks before each use, as solid carbide is brittle at small diameters and can fracture under excessive runout or improper clamping. Power down and lock out the spindle before tool changes.
