The M.A. FORD. 11105000 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking and machining applications. Built to Series 111 specifications, this tool features a 3/64 inch (0.0500 inch decimal) mill diameter, a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank, and an overall length of 1.5 inches. The 4-flute, spiral-flute geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The uncoated carbide construction delivers the rigidity needed for tight-tolerance work. This is a centercutting end mill, allowing plunge cuts in addition to standard peripheral and slot milling operations. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on a range of workpiece materials including ferrous metals, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys, as indicated by primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. With a length of cut of 0.15 inches and a regular-length classification, it is best applied to shallow-depth slotting, profiling, and finishing passes where a small-diameter tool is required. Its right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills equipped with standard 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder tooling. Suited for workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S per the manufacturer material code classification.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the tool tip before beginning a cut, as excessive runout on a small-diameter carbide tool can cause premature breakage.
