The LYNN ELECTRONICS CAT6-07-BK is a Cat6 copper patch cord used to connect network devices to switches, patch panels, and structured cabling systems. At 7 feet in length, it provides enough reach for typical equipment rack and wall-outlet connections without excess cable management overhead. Cat6 cabling supports Gigabit Ethernet and is backward compatible with Cat5e infrastructure. The black jacket finish suits installations where color-coded cable management is in use. This cord is sold as a single unit and is suitable for data closets, server rooms, and general low-voltage network runs handled by licensed low-voltage technicians or qualified installers.
This patch cord is appropriate for use in residential and commercial structured cabling installations. It is commonly deployed between patch panels and network switches, or between wall jacks and end-user equipment. The 7-foot length makes it a standard choice for connecting rack-mounted devices within a typical two-post or four-post equipment rack. Black jacket coloring is commonly used in color-coded patch environments to designate specific VLANs, switch ports, or zones according to site-specific cabling standards.
Designed as a standard Cat6 patch cord for use with 8P8C (RJ45) modular jacks, Cat6 patch panels, and network switches in structured cabling systems built to TIA-568 standards.
Installation is performed by low-voltage technicians or network cabling contractors in accordance with TIA-568 structured cabling standards and applicable local codes. No tools are required for patching; simply seat the RJ45 connectors firmly into the port until the latch clicks. Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable run, as these degrade signal performance in Cat6 installations. Do not exceed the minimum bend radius specified for Cat6 cable when routing behind equipment or through cable managers.
