The LSP P-3020 is a polyethylene pipe protection sleeve designed to shield piping from abrasion, moisture, and surface damage during installation, storage, and transit. Supplied in a 200-foot roll, the clear sleeve fits 1-inch nominal pipe and measures 4 mil in wall thickness. The low-density polyethylene construction is flexible enough to slide over straight runs and fittings without tearing. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors use this product to protect copper, PVC, CPVC, and steel pipe from contact damage and corrosion-promoting moisture before and after installation.
The P-3020 sleeve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where pipe protection is required during rough-in, storage on the job site, or finished installation in wood framing, concrete, or masonry penetrations. The clear material allows visual identification of the pipe or any markings without removing the sleeve. The 200-foot roll length reduces the need for frequent splicing on long runs and is manageable for a single technician working in a confined space.
Designed as a protective sleeve for 1-inch nominal pipe including copper, PVC, CPVC, and steel pipe types in residential and commercial plumbing and mechanical systems.
Installation does not require special tools — the sleeve is typically cut with a utility knife or scissors and slid over the pipe end before fitting connections are made. Ensure the pipe surface is free of sharp burrs or debris that could puncture the sleeve. Local mechanical codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) may specify sleeve requirements for pipe penetrations through framing or masonry; verify applicable code before installation. No power isolation is required for this product.
