The LOCHINVAR L-CGN199100 is a short-configuration, multi-flue, tank-type commercial gas water heater rated at 199,999 BTU/h input capacity with a 100-gallon glass-lined steel tank. It fires on natural gas using a spark ignition system and delivers 80 percent thermal efficiency. The unit produces a recovery rate of 193 gallons per hour at a 100-degree-F rise, making it well suited for high-demand hot water applications. A licensed plumber or qualified commercial water heater technician handles installation. The short profile fits mechanical rooms with limited overhead clearance where a tall-configuration unit would not fit.
The CGN series is designed for commercial and light industrial environments with sustained hot water demand. Typical applications include apartment buildings, schools, food service facilities, and similar occupancies where consistent large-volume hot water supply is required. The 6-inch vent connection accommodates standard multi-flue or common-vent arrangements, and the 2-inch water connection supports high-flow distribution piping. The 150 psi pressure rating meets the requirements of most commercial building systems.
Designed as an OEM-style unit within the Lochinvar CGN multi-flue Charger series for commercial natural gas water heating systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the gas supply and cold-water inlet before beginning any service or connection work. Vent the unit according to the appliance manufacturer instructions and applicable fuel-gas code requirements; do not reduce the 6-inch vent outlet diameter downstream without engineering review. Verify that the building gas supply pressure and distribution piping size are adequate for the 199,999 BTU/h input demand before final commissioning.
