The LLD082S is a refrigerant filter drier designed for use in HVAC, heat pump, and refrigeration systems. Filter driers serve a dual purpose: they remove moisture and contaminants from the refrigerant circuit, protecting compressors, metering devices, and other system components from acid formation and particulate damage. This unit features a 0.25 inch ODF (outside diameter flare) connection, making it compatible with standard small-diameter copper line sets used in residential and light commercial refrigeration applications. Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians as part of system commissioning, refrigerant circuit repair, or compressor replacement procedures.
The LLD082S is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment that use 0.25 inch ODF connections on the liquid line. Filter driers are typically installed on the liquid line between the condenser and the metering device. They are a standard service component replaced any time a refrigerant circuit is opened for repairs, after a compressor burnout, or as part of a preventive maintenance interval to maintain system cleanliness and moisture control.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement filter drier for residential and light commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems using 0.25 inch ODF liquid line connections. The raw product data references compatibility with Parker-Sporlan part number 450279-001.
Filter drier replacement is performed by EPA Section 608 certified HVAC technicians. Recover all refrigerant from the system before opening the refrigerant circuit. Install the drier with the flow arrow oriented in the direction of refrigerant flow toward the metering device. After brazing or flaring connections, pressure-test for leaks and evacuate the system to the required deep vacuum before recharging with refrigerant.
