The LITTLE GIANT LADDERS 17916-246V is a 16-foot fiberglass extension ladder rated Type IAA for a 375-pound duty rating. It is built for trade professionals who work at height on job sites where electrical hazards are present. The non-conductive fiberglass construction allows safe use around live circuits. An integrated bubble level helps the user set a true plumb base before climbing, reducing the lean error that builds toward the top of a tall ladder. A double-pulley system repositioned to the side of the rail makes raising and lowering the fly section faster and reduces the effort required on busy job sites.
This ladder is suited for residential and light commercial work including HVAC roof equipment access, electrical service panel work, plumbing rough-in on multi-story structures, and exterior maintenance tasks. The flat comfort rungs reduce foot fatigue during extended standtime. Dual-position spike feet provide added stability on soft ground or uneven surfaces and can be flipped to pad-foot position for use on finished flooring or pavement. The V-bar Ratchet Leveler allows the base to be adjusted independently on sloped or uneven terrain without shimming.
Designed as a direct-use extension ladder for general trade applications requiring a 16-foot fiberglass Type IAA ladder with ground-leveling capability.
Extension ladders must be erected and used by qualified workers in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1053 and applicable ANSI A14.5 standards. Always inspect the ladder for damage before each use and verify the fly-section locks are fully engaged before climbing. Set the ladder at a 75-degree angle - one foot of horizontal offset for every four feet of vertical rise - and secure the top and base when working from an elevated position. Do not exceed the rated load capacity, and keep both hands on the rails when climbing or descending.
