The LITTLE FIREFIGHTER LFGV-12 is an earthquake valve stabilizer bracket designed to secure seismic gas shutoff valves in residential and light commercial gas piping systems. Seismic shutoff valves are required by code in many jurisdictions to automatically cut off gas flow during an earthquake. The LFGV-12 bracket provides the rigid mechanical support needed to keep those valves properly anchored to structure, preventing movement or stress on the valve body and the surrounding pipe connections. Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter during new construction or when retrofitting an existing seismic valve assembly.
This stabilizer bracket is suited for use in residential gas systems where seismic shutoff valves are installed on the main gas line, as well as light commercial applications with similar valve configurations. It is commonly installed as part of a compliant seismic valve assembly in regions subject to seismic activity, including areas governed by California building codes and similar local amendments that mandate automatic gas shutoff protection.
Designed as an OEM-style stabilizer bracket for use with GV-12 series seismic gas shutoff valve assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter in accordance with local building codes and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off the main gas supply before working on any gas piping components. The bracket must be anchored securely to a structural element to provide effective valve support. Do not substitute unapproved hardware or fasteners when mounting the bracket.
