The Liquid Nails DWP-24 is a rubber-based drywall adhesive formulated for interior construction applications. It bonds drywall, foam board, and structural framing members using a fast-grab formula that simplifies installation and reduces the number of mechanical fasteners needed. The adhesive is moisture proof and provides sound-buffering properties once cured. It corrects minor framing irregularities during application, making it useful on jobsites where stud or rafter alignment is imperfect. The DWP-24 exceeds ASTM Specification C-557, the standard performance specification for adhesives used in the installation of wallboard. Each cartridge contains 28 oz of material and is compatible with standard caulk guns used by drywall installers and general contractors.
This adhesive is intended for interior residential and light commercial drywall installation. It bonds drywall panels to wood studs, rafters, galvanized steel framing, and aluminum framing, as well as foam board substrates. It is commonly used on wood-framed walls and ceilings where the installer wants to reduce fastener pop and improve panel adhesion. The rubber-based formula allows some flexibility after cure, which is appropriate for assemblies subject to minor seasonal movement. It is not rated for exterior or high-moisture environments.

Applied using a standard caulk gun. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or loose material before application. This is an interior-grade product and should not be used in exterior or continuously wet environments. Follow applicable local building codes for fastener spacing when using adhesive in combination with mechanical fasteners, as most code assemblies still require perimeter fastening.
