The LIONBEAM lb-w1845sw is an 18 AWG, 4-conductor stranded copper cable rated CMR (Communications Multipurpose Cable Riser) and packaged in a 500-foot pull box. The stranded conductor construction provides flexibility for routing through walls, ceilings, and conduit runs where solid wire would be difficult to handle. The white PVC jacket blends into light-colored surfaces and earns a CMR rating, meaning it meets UL 1666 riser fire propagation requirements for vertical runs between floors. Electricians and low-voltage installers reach for this cable when a project calls for dependable signal transmission, clean aesthetics, and code-appropriate riser-rated wiring.
This cable is suited for residential and light commercial low-voltage applications including security alarm wiring, access control panel runs, audio distribution, and general-purpose signal circuits. The 500-foot pull box supports efficient deployment on medium to large structured cabling projects, reducing the number of splices needed across longer runs. The controlled-dispensing pull box design helps prevent kinking and tangling during installation, which is especially useful when pulling cable through finished spaces or overhead trays.
Designed as a general-purpose CMR-rated low-voltage signal cable compatible with standard 18 AWG termination hardware, including screw terminals, punchdown blocks, and plug connectors used in security and access control systems.
Installation of CMR-rated riser cable should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or electrical contractor in accordance with applicable NEC Article 800 requirements for communications wiring. Power down or de-energize all connected equipment before making terminations. Avoid sharp bends that exceed the cable minimum bend radius, as stranded conductors can still be damaged by tight routing around corners. Secure cable runs at intervals consistent with local code and manufacturer recommendations.
