The LIONBEAM lb-hdmi-ext302 is an HDMI KVM extender designed to transmit video, audio, and keyboard/mouse control signals over standard Cat6, Cat6A, or Cat7 Ethernet cable. At 1080P resolution and 60Hz refresh rate, the unit reaches distances up to 229 feet (approximately 70 meters). At 4K resolution, the maximum transmission distance is 120 feet. The extender supports HDR and delivers an uncompressed, zero-latency signal path, making it appropriate for AV installations, digital signage, and workstation extension in commercial and light-industrial environments. Power over Cable (PoC) technology eliminates the need for a separate power supply at the receiver end — only the transmitter side requires power.
The lb-hdmi-ext302 is suited for commercial AV, broadcast, security monitoring, and IT infrastructure applications where a display or workstation must be located far from the source device. Installers deploy this unit in conference rooms, control rooms, retail displays, and server rack environments where running a dedicated HDMI cable is impractical. The KVM function allows keyboard and mouse signals to pass through the same Cat cable alongside the video feed, reducing cable runs and simplifying the installation.

Installation is typically performed by a licensed AV technician or low-voltage electrician. Use a continuous, solid-core or stranded Cat6, Cat6A, or Cat7 cable run without inline patch panels or couplers where possible, as connections can introduce signal degradation over longer distances. Local electrical codes, including applicable NEC low-voltage wiring requirements, should be observed for in-wall or plenum cable routing.
