The LINK-SEAL ls-650-c is a modular elastomer pipe sealing system designed to create a permanent, hydrostatic seal where pipes or cylindrical objects penetrate barriers such as concrete walls, floors, and vault structures. Featuring a black EPDM rubber seal element with a durometer rating of 50, a reinforced nylon polymer pressure plate, and zinc plated carbon steel hardware, this Model C assembly resists moisture, groundwater, and organic chemicals across a wide operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. It is installed by licensed plumbers, mechanical contractors, and civil construction crews working on pipeline penetration sealing applications.
The ls-650-c is suited for residential and commercial pipeline installations where pipes pass through concrete or masonry barriers in direct burial or below-grade environments. Size 650 accommodates the corresponding nominal pipe or conduit diameter per LINK-SEAL sizing conventions. Model C is the standard configuration for damp and moderate-moisture environments. For applications involving extended water immersion, Model S316 with stainless steel hardware is available. For applications involving elevated chemical exposure, Model O with nitrile rubber and stainless steel hardware is recommended. Each package contains 5 units.
Designed as a modular OEM-style pipe penetration seal for use with concrete walls, floors, and similar barrier structures in pipeline and direct burial applications where a hydrostatic seal is required. Compatible with a wide range of pipe materials and sizes per LINK-SEAL Size 650 specifications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers or mechanical contractors following applicable building and plumbing codes. Before installation, ensure the pipe penetration opening is clean, free of debris, and sized appropriately for the LINK-SEAL unit per manufacturer sizing guidelines. Tighten hardware bolts evenly and in sequence to achieve uniform compression across all seal elements — do not over-torque. Verify the completed assembly for hydrostatic integrity before backfilling or closing the structure.
