The LINK-SEAL ls-475-s is a modular pipe penetration seal designed to create a positive hydrostatic seal around pipes passing through walls, floors, and ceilings. The seal body is constructed from EPDM rubber and is rated for temperatures up to 175 degrees F. The S series ships with S316 stainless steel nuts and bolts, which have been salt spray tested to 1,470 hours, making it suitable for corrosive or wet environments. Pressure resistance is rated to 20 psig, equivalent to 40 feet of head. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors are the primary installers for this type of fitting.
The ls-475-s is used in residential and commercial construction wherever a pipe penetrates a structural element such as a concrete wall, floor slab, or ceiling assembly. It accommodates pipes of varying diameters by linking individual rubber links around the pipe and drawing them tight with the included hardware. Typical applications include utility entries, mechanical room penetrations, and below-grade wall passages where moisture ingress or hydrostatic pressure must be controlled.

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or mechanical contractors following applicable plumbing and mechanical codes. Before installing, verify the annular space dimensions and pipe outside diameter against the seal size rating. No special tools are required beyond standard hand tools to tighten the stainless steel hardware. Do not overtighten the links, as excessive torque can deform the rubber elements and reduce sealing effectiveness.
