The LINCOLN ELECTRIC ED033500 is an E6013 classification mild steel welding electrode designed for shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) applications. The rod measures 0.125 inches in diameter and 14 inches in length. E6013 electrodes are known for producing a soft, stable arc with moderate penetration, making them well suited for welding thin to medium gauge mild steel. The flux coating supports easy slag removal and clean weld bead appearance. Licensed welders, pipefitters, and fabricators working with mild steel structures rely on this electrode type for general-purpose joining in both flat and horizontal positions.
The ED033500 is appropriate for residential, commercial, and light industrial fabrication work where mild steel is the base material. It performs reliably on clean to lightly coated base metals and is a common choice for maintenance and repair welding, light structural work, and sheet metal applications. This electrode is sold individually and is compatible with standard AC or DC constant-current welding power sources.
Designed as an OEM-style consumable replacement for use with standard SMAW constant-current welding machines that accept 0.125 inch diameter stick electrodes.
Installation is performed by a qualified welder or certified welding operator. Before striking an arc, verify that the welding machine is set to the appropriate amperage range for a 0.125 inch E6013 electrode and that all electrical connections are secure. Store electrodes in a dry environment to prevent moisture absorption in the flux coating, which can degrade arc performance. Follow applicable AWS and OSHA safety standards, including proper use of PPE such as a welding helmet, gloves, and flame-resistant clothing.
