Product Description

The LEVITON TELCOM RGF20-OB is a 20-amp tamper-resistant GFCI duplex receptacle finished in Onyx, part of the Renu color-change receptacle line. It provides ground-fault circuit interrupter protection against electrical shock by continuously monitoring current flow and tripping within milliseconds when a fault is detected. The tamper-resistant shutter mechanism requires simultaneous pressure on both slots before the contacts open, meeting NEC requirements for TR receptacles in residential and light commercial installations. Electricians install this device in place of a standard duplex outlet wherever GFCI protection is required by code.

This receptacle is suited for residential bathrooms, kitchens, garages, outdoor-covered locations, and light commercial spaces where 20-amp branch circuits are present and GFCI protection is mandated. The Onyx finish is compatible with the Renu snap-on faceplate system, allowing color changes without disturbing the wiring device itself.
