The LEVITON TELCOM PFGF1-BN is a pop-up floor box assembly equipped with a 15 amp GFCI outlet, designed for flush floor-mount electrical installations in commercial and residential settings. The pop-up mechanism allows the receptacle to sit flush with the floor surface when not in use and rise into position when power access is needed. Ground fault circuit interrupter protection is built directly into the outlet, interrupting power within milliseconds of detecting a ground fault. This unit is sold individually and is installed by licensed electricians as part of a floor power distribution setup.
This floor box is suited for open-plan offices, conference rooms, classrooms, hospitality venues, and residential great rooms where wall outlets are impractical. The integrated GFCI protection makes it appropriate for locations where floor-level power access may be exposed to moisture or where code requires ground fault protection. It provides a clean, low-profile solution for bringing power to the center of a room without surface-mounted conduit or extension cords.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation floor box unit for standard floor power distribution applications requiring GFCI-protected receptacle access.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Power to the circuit must be shut off at the breaker panel and verified de-energized with a voltage tester before beginning work. The floor box requires a properly sized floor cutout and conduit knockout alignment for flush fit. Confirm local AHJ requirements for GFCI placement and floor box applications before rough-in.
