The LEVITON TELCOM MGFT2-T is a slim-profile, tamper-resistant GFCI outlet rated for 20 amps. It features the Lev-Lok modular wiring system, which allows for tool-free or simplified device insertion into compatible Lev-Lok wallplates and frames. The slim form factor makes it easier to install in shallow electrical boxes where a standard-depth GFCI receptacle would not fit. This device is installed by licensed electricians in residential and light commercial wiring applications where ground-fault circuit interrupter protection is required by the National Electrical Code.
This outlet is suited for locations that require GFCI protection under NEC code requirements, including kitchens, bathrooms, garages, outdoor receptacle circuits, and other areas subject to moisture exposure. The tamper-resistant shutters block foreign object insertion, making it appropriate for installations in facilities where child safety compliance is required. The Lev-Lok modular format supports structured wiring environments and panel-style wallplate assemblies common in commercial and multi-unit residential projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation GFCI device for use with Lev-Lok modular wallplate systems in 20 amp branch circuits requiring ground-fault protection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes. De-energize the branch circuit at the panel and verify absence of voltage with a meter before beginning work. The Lev-Lok modular interface must be matched to a compatible Lev-Lok frame or wallplate assembly. Do not install on circuits exceeding the 20 amp rating of the device.
