The LEVITON MFG CO R71-GFNT1-0RI is a 15-amp, 125-volt, slim self-testing commercial grade GFCI duplex receptacle finished in ivory. It is designed for ground-fault circuit interrupter protection in residential and light commercial electrical installations. The unit features Smartlock protection technology, which prevents the GFCI from being reset if it detects a line-load reversal, circuit integrity failure, or mis-wired condition. This ensures the outlet cannot supply power to the face or downline terminals under a miswired state. An LED indicator light provides visible status feedback. Licensed electricians are the primary installers for this device in new construction and retrofit applications.

This receptacle is suited for commercial grade installations where code-required GFCI protection is mandated, such as kitchens, bathrooms, garages, outdoor locations, and unfinished basements. Its slim profile accommodates tight electrical box conditions. The backwire screw pressure plate with two holes per termination and pre-backed-out screws speeds up field termination. The impact-resistant thermoplastic body and power surge and corrosion-resistant construction make it appropriate for demanding environments. It ships without a wall plate. Installation Notes

Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. Turn off the circuit breaker and verify the circuit is de-energized with a non-contact voltage tester before beginning any wiring work. Observe correct line and load terminal wiring — Smartlock protection will permanently lock out the device if line and load leads are reversed. No wall plate is included and must be ordered separately.
