Leviton 80720-E 1-gang Locking Receptacle Wallplate Ebony

Product Description

The LEVITON 80720-E is a 1-gang locking-style receptacle wallplate designed for use with standard single-outlet devices in residential and light commercial electrical installations. Constructed from thermoplastic nylon, this wallplate features a 1.60-inch diameter opening sized for a single power outlet receptacle. The smooth finish and traditional styling make it a straightforward fit for new construction and retrofit work alike. The locking mount keeps the plate firmly seated against the wall surface, reducing movement during everyday use. Licensed electricians and knowledgeable DIYers handle this type of installation as part of standard rough-in and finish work.

This wallplate is intended for single-gang device boxes housing one standard power outlet receptacle. It is sized for standard wallplate applications and suits typical residential branch-circuit finish work. The ebony black color coordinates with dark-finish devices in spaces where a consistent color scheme is specified. Its standard dimensions align with conventional single-gang box cutouts found in both new and retrofit construction scenarios.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed electrician or qualified tradesperson in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize the branch circuit at the panel before removing or installing any wallplate or device. Align the plate over the device and box, then fasten with the appropriate screws - do not overtighten, as thermoplastic nylon can crack under excessive torque. Verify the device is fully seated in the box before securing the wallplate.
