The LEUZE 50101457 is a polarized retro-reflective photoelectric sensor designed for reliable object detection in industrial automation applications. Operating on the reflection principle with a red LED light source, it delivers a working range of 0 to 1.7 meters and an operating range limit of 2 meters. The sensor runs on a supply voltage of 10 to 30 volts DC with a residual ripple tolerance of 0 to 15 percent of supply voltage and an open circuit current draw of up to 35 mA. Its auto-collimation special version and push-pull transistor switching element make it well suited for demanding detection tasks where standard sensors fall short.
This sensor is specifically suited for the detection of highly transparent bottles and similarly challenging targets where conventional diffuse or through-beam sensors may struggle. The push-pull output supports both light switching (PNP) and dark switching (NPN) configurations, giving installation flexibility across a range of control architectures. It is appropriate for use in packaging lines, conveyor systems, and general factory automation environments where a compact, low-voltage sensor is required. A licensed automation technician or controls engineer typically handles installation and integration into PLC or relay-based control systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit polarized retro-reflective photoelectric sensor for industrial automation systems requiring a 10 to 30 volt DC, M12 4-pin push-pull output sensor with a detection range up to 1.7 meters.
Installation is typically performed by a qualified automation technician or electrician familiar with low-voltage DC sensor wiring and PLC I/O integration. De-energize the control circuit and lock out the machine before mounting or wiring the sensor. The M12 4-pin connector should be mated with a compatible cordset rated for the application environment. Verify output switching mode (PNP or NPN) matches the input card or relay configuration before powering the system.
